The different maps are Opis, Journey Map, Zan's Minimap, and Rei's Minimap. Opis and Journey Map add the same type of map in that it maps out where you have been like an RPG. The difference between the two however is that Opis let's you have the minimap on your screen as well as allowing waypoints. Zan's and Rei's do not map out where you have been, but only map out the area surrounding you. Rei's, Zan's, and Opis allows you to have waypoints, although Opis's is slightly more confusing to use. You can also use either Zan's or Rei's in combination with Journey Map so that you both track out where you've been while having the ability to have waypoints at the same time from Zan's or Rei's. Opis provides the combination of waypoints and mapping, but its waypoint system is a bit confusing as well as not giving as much texture as Journey Map. Journey Map also allows you to connect your map with the Internet so you can see your map on your phone or browser. I personally use Zan's in conjunction with Journey Map so that I can see where I've been; "Hey, I need silverwood saplings! Where was that Magical Forest biome I explored before?" while having the super convenience and awesomeness of Zan's waypoint system.
