So I've played FTB with friends who always helped me with power and the stuff like that. Now I'm tinkering around with it by myself and I am SO lost. I want to get my ME hooked up but I can't for the life of me remember how to set up EnderTanks in the nether. I was planning on having it pull it from the nether, pour it into a huge reserve tank then hook ME up to feed from that. Anyone mind telling me exactly how to do it or send me a good video? All the ones I have found aren't helpful and poorly lit so I can't tell where what goes. I'm currently using the most stable (recommended) version of Monster. I'll love you forever if you can help!

Edit: I remember tesseracts being involved after I got my liquid transposer hooked up. Which I can't do until I have power.

Place a BC pump or Ender-thermic pump in the nether(or anywhere else with lots of lava)(read the special conditions for the Ender-Thermic pump in the NEI description).
Power it with a Magmatic Dynamo(BC pump will need a piece of conduit to transform RF into MJ).
Place Ender Tank directly adjacent to pump.
BC pump will need a Chunkloader.

Back in overworld have a matching Endertank. You really don't need a reserve tank IMO, it is rather pointless. Feed the lava to either Geothermal Generators(for EU) or Magmatic Dynamos(for RF). Feed power to ME controller.

Only reason I wanted to have the reserve is if my lava would run out in the Nether, I'd have no power and no way to access my ME. Would like to be able to see a tank to know if I had a problem with my pool of lava in the nether.

Ahh right, if lava is your only power source than it could be an idea. But tank would have to be somewhere where you get used to checking its level, or the first thing you will notice anyway is when the tank is empty.

I rarely(never) rely solely on lava power, and so once I placed my lava pump, I might have to move it once or twice for that worlds lifetime(4-6 months usually).

Yeah lava power is all I really know. Kind of. I know Vanilla Minecraft like the back of my hand but FTB is just new to me. I was planning on just having a tank built into the wall, since it's in my mine and not my actual house. That way I can monitor where my lava is at.

You got Nuclear Control in Monster, but I cant remember it this works in the version it got or not. But you can try making a "Liquid Sensor Kit", click the tank with it(as long as it is a RC tank or anything else compatible) and put the location card you receive into a "Industrial Information Panel". This will let you monitor the liquid level in the tank wireless. If it is over a certain distance away from the tank you will need to put "Range Upgrade"s into the Information panel until it connects.

Information panel needs a redstone signal to be turned on btw. You can avoid this(and get other features) by making the advanced version(but it is quit a lot more expensive). Both panels can be made larger than 1 block by the "Panel Extender"s. One main panel and as many extenders as necessary to build the size you desire.

Once you got the lava set up and running however, I do think you should try and aim for experimenting with some other power solutions as well. you got lots of interesting choices in Monster.

Old time favourites are always the treefarm. Use a MFR planter/harvester combo, the Stevescart train solution, Forestry Multifarm or something completely different to automatically farm trees. Put wood into furnace to make charcoal, burn charcoal in dynamo/boiler/generator for power. Saplings can also be used for Ethanol/biofuel production through Forestry Fermenter->Still or MFR Bioreactor.

Once you are properly settled in you should look into Big Reactor imo. Quite interesting and efficient power gen mod.

Extra utilities has a number of fun generators to play with as well. An automated farm (MFR, Thaumcraft golems, etc.) of wheat feeding a cyclic assembler making bread feeding into a cullunary generator is pretty simple and reliable, if only for a backup power system.

This last play through of Monster, I used a magic crops Redstone farm to a magma crucible feeding a battery of heated Redstone generators. Good power output, but more importantly it was fun to design and build.

Once you are feeling up to it, Big Reactors (as mentioned above) is a nice step up in power and engineering. Above all, do what makes you happy and suits your needs. Not everyone needs 10k rf/t all the time, so judge your power needs and build accordingly. If nothing else, you will be forced to upgrade your power systems occasionally, which is a nice distraction every once in a while.

I somehow can't even manage this. Maybe FTB isn't right for me. xD I'm looking for a FTB server to play on so I can bother someone else. I appreciate the help though!

I can add you to a server I play on :)

Almost forget, you do need to add a couple of mods before you join, said mods are immibis core, tubestuff and ic2fixes.
