Monster NEI

I'm playing with the latest recommended version of Monster, and my NEI doesn't work in anything other than recipe mode. Normally I play in Utility Mode for the magnetic mode and the trash can, but not even that works. Does anyone know why that might be?

Go into the options menu, then inventory, and at the top right, click on global and change it to world. Next to the mode, make sure it is set to use global settings, otherwise it won't let you change it for some reason.
