The Coercion Deriver is full of Fortron energy. Why isn't it passing it on to the Fortron Capacitor?

Did something change? Is this not how it works anymore?

Never mind, got it working! Let me explain in case someone else gets this problem:

You now need to make a Link Card and right-click on the Coercion Deriver, then open the interface for the Fortron Capacitor and place the Link Card inside (just shift-click and it'll know where to go.)

It's odd how I didn't see this change mentioned anywhere.

You don't need a link card, the black box with "0" (by default, unless you changed it) is a channel link. Every mffs device with the same number will be linked to transfer energy to the same channel the devices are on. The link card is just a handy alternative if you don't want to change the channels by going into the interface each time. Otherwise you can use the card and shift-right click on the mffs unit.

So I'm kind of new at the modular force field system, I can't get enough energy into the force field projector for it to produce a force field constantly. I only have 4 range modulators (I think they're called that) and it's REALLY draining my power quickly. I'm going to need like 30/40 range modulators, and I'm wondering if you know how much mj/tick would be needed? Apparently I can't use EU which is unfortunate because I have like 3 steam boilers going... Any tip would be great :)

Using the frequency doesn't work for whatever reason. That's why I made this post. Seems like only the Link Cards work right now.

To answer your question:They do use a lot of power for a force field of a decent size. I wonder if you aren't meant to keep one up permanently. Why don't you use your steam to run Industrial Steam Engines or Steam Dynamos? They produce MJ and RF.

I'm kinda noobish with mj, I didn't know that was possible. Guess I'll try that then lol, thanks. And that's weird, the frequencies seem to work for me. Wonder what's wrong with it

I have like 16/20 industrial steam engines, and I'm still losing a ton if power for a tiny sized force field...very strange. Plus, I put down like 10 electric engines. The output of mj is just not enough. The only thing I could think of is building a lot of those resonant energy cells, I can't find any other source of mj that releases more than those (10,000 mj/tick). How's it going for you?

Each 36HP steam boilers only supports up to 144 mj/t, assuming the output didn't change since 1.5.2. Not a lot really. Try expanding your tree farm and increasing your steam boilers, up to 10 maybe for 1440 mj/t.
Or use Big Reactors, it is in Monster, right?

Bump. I'm having issues too. The Coercion driver is full of power, but it won't send any power to the Fortron capacitor. Both are "blue" (showing that they are turned on), and both are set to the same frequency.

Simply put, the Fortron Capacitor says "Linked devices: 0". it's showing zero linked devices, even though there's 2 nearby MFFS machines, all turned on, and all sharing the same frequency.

Yes, I've tried the OP's suggestion. I have tried using default frequency (0 - simply put down the machine and don't touch it).
Ive tried using a Frequency card to link the machines
I've tried changing to my own custom frequency
I've tried using a manually assigned frequency , via shift - rightclicking the Freq. card in mid-air

The Fort. Capacitor simply won't link to any machines.

Well, at least I know I'm not crazy. This has been driving me a bit nuts the last couple of days on my server. particularly annoying since was trying to demo MFFS to new players. Latest update seems to be the culprit.
