I run an FTB Unleashed Server 1.1.3, with power converters, reliquary, and BOP enabled. When customizing the appearance of my modular power suit, I enabled the glow function on some pieces. My friend on the server can see me as "fuzzy" (aka appropriately glowing). However, I cannot see the glow. Our client graphic settings are identical except for brightness. I play on full bright and he plays on moody. Changing this had no effect. My graphics card is a geforce GTX 550 TI. Windows 64 bit and 64 bit java. Is there some setting I need to change on my hardware to view this? Can't find any documentation on this aspect of the mod. Below is how I should appear with my current settings (I know it's tacky, I didn't know I looked like this because it doesn't work for me.) Instead I appear with the standard dark model.

Its an option in the modular power suite config.
change ####################
# graphics
####################

graphics {
I:"Bloom Multiplier"=3

into
####################
# graphics
####################

graphics {
I:"Bloom Multiplier"=0

Its a feature not a bug

apparently MPS has two configs, one in a machine muse folder, and one in the default config folder. changing both of those to 0 as you suggested did not work. but i may have been unclear. from what i understand, changing a bloom to 0 would remove the shiny effect from the armor. i am trying to get it to appear. my friend sees it, i don't, and we havent messed with any configs or graphics settings.

i certainly wont be lighting up things as shown in the picture, but i would like the option to customize it as was intended. all settings being equal to my friend who can see it, i suspect it has something to do with a setting my graphics card uses.
