I cannot download any of the mod packs, texture packs , or maps. I am running on Windows 7 Ultimate. The launcher Version is 1.2.2. I have no idea why this is happening every time i try to download and install anything in the FTB launcher it will start to download then right before it finishes it says "error loading mod pack" . Can someone plz help.

Try deleting the folder called FTBFiles and then relaunch. HOWEVER if you had a save that you want to keep from previous mod packs ... make a back up !
the ftblauncher settings folder is in the locations described by this post:

Try deleting this folder, as it has the launcher settings not the folder that it downloads the modpacks to.
After you delete the ftblauncher folder delete the ftb exe. Then download the exe again, and try relaunching. Tell me if this works for you.

Post the log to pastebin so we can figure out what happened. You can change the location of the launcher modpack files in the options window.
You need to update your java to the latest version.
First go here and follow the given steps to remove your current version:
http://www.java.com/en/download/uninstall.jsp
Then download this version of java that matches the bit of your system(e.g. 32bit, 64bit):
http://www.java.com/en/download/faq/java_win64bit.xml
Now relaunch.
