Mods won't download

I downloaded the FTB launcher, but when I try to launch any of the mods, It comes up with the message "Downloading mod pack... Please Wait" but nothing happens, Ive left it for half an hour and still nothing, if I close it the launcher starts to download minecraft.jar and then will simply launch that

I've tried reinstalling FTB, changing my download location but it doesn't seem to work
