Mods not playing nice together in Beyond

There's something up with TiC/TE/(N|J)EI in Beyond.

High-temperature smeltery recipes for TE fluids appear in (N|J)EI. They are the same as I was used to in previous modpacks.
The smeltery accepts Blazing Pyrotheum (The "old faithful" for getting the smeltery hot enough to melt high-temp items) as a fuel and shows it reaching a temp of 4000 but the smeltery won't even smelt a vanilla ore when fueled by it.

Tried to test it with default configs of the mods involved (and their deps of course) on an otherwise vanilla 1.10.2 profile but there's an element I'm missing - those recipes are registered with (N|J)EI by another mod. Not sure which one.

Either the registration of Pyrotheum as a smeltery fuel is messed up or the recipes are. Since the magma crucible still works for those high-temp melts its not a gamebreaker but either something in the mod integration isn't working right or something was incompletely disabled, leaving the recipe registration with (N|J)EI and Pyrotheum as a valid smeltery fuel intact while disabling the actual use of them.
