Mods causes flickering

Recently I built myself a new computer, the only hardware from my old computer is;

• One of the two hard disks.
• My graphics card.

Everything else is newly shipped. Now that i have installed my new windows 8 software and that I have installed FTB I get the graphical error; flickering. The flickering usually appears when;

• Hovering over items in a menu or inventory.
• Looking a mobs, that are very close.
• Especially when having the "Esc menu" open.
• Randomly.
• Not when playing vanilla, but with both Mindcrack and DW20.

My old computer did not have this problem. This is the hardware and software that I am currently using:

• CPU
  • AMD FX-4170 Black Edition - Box

What are the specs from your old setup?

Your windows didn't happen to come with the snapshot/test JDK 8 did it?

I found this to be Opifine for me. once i deleted it no more flickering.

Don't quite remember much of it, but i was running Windows Vista SP2. I did have JDK because I do a bit of coding, but I got it a half year ago.

I found the solution!

Due to the fact that the launcher can't download and install the modpack using windows 8, I had the launcher run as if my OS was windows 7. This however caused some problems for Minecraft as it was running in a wrong way. Turning the launcher to Windows 8 makes it unable to download and install new modpacks, but makes Minecraft run normally.
