Hi all my son 8 year old son wants to play a modpack but he has a not a lot of memory any over 100 mods don't work he's seen me play them he likes the quest one any ideas please thanks in advance

How much memory does his machine have? Mod count is actually less important now as so many single purpose mods exist the count can get pretty high without drastically affecting memory use.

Might as well also list CPU info and let us know if he is using onboard video or what he has for a video card.

Vanilla+, Infinity Lite, and Direwolf20 are all great selections. DW20 is around 70 mods I think.

Also what version? 1.10 needs a minimum of 4gig just for Minecraft, while 1.7.4 can do with 2gig
