Modpacks on any launcher will not work. Windows 8​

FTB Infinity 1.7​

Details of the issue:

When I first download a modpack, I can get into the main menu. Once I try to create a world however, the game crashes and I wont be able to load the modpack anymore. This has occurred on every modpack I've tried, including other launchers.​

Caused by: java.lang.RuntimeException: java.io.FileNotFoundException: c:\ftb\FTBInfinity\minecraft\config\WirelessRedstone.cfg (The requested operation cannot be performed on a file with a user-mapped section open)

some programs opens c:\ftb\FTBInfinity\minecraft\config\WirelessRedstone.cfg and thus it can't be used by minecraft resulting in a crash.
A program that springs to mind that can be the offender is your anti-virus.

Are you saying I should completely disable it when I download a modpack?

You might wanna try adding the FTB folder as an exception to your AntiVir programs rules
