Any ideas for what i could to stop this?

I have this same problem, And so do 80% of people that play minecraft. Loading chunks is hard on a computer.

I should have a new computer arriving soon, It should run minecraft very well.
Ill try to remember to write back here with some chunk loading stuff.

  • Intel Core i7-4790k
  • ASUS Z97-K
  • Corsair H60
  • NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 EVGA Superclocked
  • 8GB DDR3-2133 Corsair Vengeance

And you should only allocate 2GB of ram to minecraft 3.5 MAX, Anything higher will start to make your performance go down.

Run the newest Forge version and FastCraft. Both apparently aid with chunk generation.

It is *really* unfortunate that fastcraft can't be distributed with modpacks. Would prevent a lot of disgruntled users. Would be nice if the fixes that Fastcraft does get integrated into Forge itself or else modpack launchers should put in a big recommendation sign about using fastcraft.

Do You have a link to the latest downloads of these that will work with the ftb launcher. do they automatically run when I start the ftb launcher after being installed?
