45 MTG trivia fact of the day: When the Innistrad design team was coming up with horror tropes to put into the Gothic horror themed set, one of them was the chainsaw. So they made a card for it, even though chainsaws are a bit more technological than Magic's fantasy theme allows. As such, the story team had to do some research, and the closest thing they found was a corkscrew-like weapon that was designed to leave a really nasty wound not a whole lot unlike what a chainsaw would do if you stabbed someone with it. Since then, the chainsaw card became known as Trepanation Blade.

46? 47? I've little doubt that you did, but I thought I'd post the history of the card because it was relevant to my last post (and because deleting memories and dealing a random amount of damage doesn't exactly say "chainsaw" to me), and then I figured I'd post the link again because why not.
