Modded Minecraft with LanolinTV. FTB Departed, Unstable, Banished, and More...

Hey ladies and gents, I am Lanolin and I’ve recently returned to YouTube and have hit the ground running! I am a Senior Digital Media Production Student working towards my BA and am looking to my YouTube channel to start building an online portfolio. Currently I am uploading daily content in the form of one to two videos released in an episodic format. Video releases are done in the morning around 6AM and in the afternoon around 1PM central time (7AM and 1PM EST). Currently I am releasing videos utilizing the following mod packs:

• FTB: Departed – This series is released every other day (odd days) and follows my adventures through the FTB mod pack Departed. If you’re unfamiliar with this pack it revolves around the Advent of Ascension mod which allows you to travel to many different, increasingly difficult dimensions. With the addition of many different weapons, enemies, and powerful armor spells I have to hone my fighting skills to conquer each dimension.

• Modded Minecraft with Lanolin – This is my Tutorial style modded Let’s Play series. In this series I break down my builds as a progress through my own personal mod pack. I utilize Adobe After Effects to help visually explain builds as well as talking through them. I occasionally work with LanoTech, my private wool and wool related products production and distribution company that started, to complete builds or to further our dominance of the Sheep Product Markets! This series is also released every other day (even days)

• FTB 3rd Party Pack: Banished - My most recent series involves the exploration of my own private prison world, courtesy of DrasticDemise. This pack focuses on magic, containing no tech mods. Progression through the Hardcore Questing Book is fairly quick at first, but slows down as I need to constantly stop and defend myself from the horrors trapped in the caves with me...

Every Sunday I also release a First impressions video of a game that I play Saturday evening. While not related to modded Minecraft it is an interesting method to come across new and exciting games you may otherwise have missed out on. Best of all, you get to watch me try it out for the first time for a truly unique experience!

I set out to recover my gear and get the hell out of the Nether..

Today marks episode one of my dive into the 3rd Part Feed the Beast mod pack: Banished. Created as a sequel to Hubris, DrasticDemise now sets us as one of the careless Magi that were responsible for that catastrophe...

Utilizing what we learned from the Elves of Alfheim we piece together a fully functional, automated wool harvest and collection farm.

I turn right back around and head back into the Nether for some blaze rods for the Pyroclast Pendant from Botania..

 

[Lanolin]

Jumping right into the pack we discover that we can dual wield! And it doesn't suck!

A new update to Botania adds some cool new toys, but I need to head to The End first before I can make them. With the help of Mystcraft we sneak into the realm of the Endermen.

I set out on my quest for the Savanna or Desert biomes. I spend a ton of time searching and find a new friend.

Disaster indeed...

I optimize the Botania Luminizers from the previous episode and show off a new build! Today's focus is farms for myself and LanoTech. I think we let them fend for themselves long enough.

I continue my quest for the Savanna desert and search for an awesome horse to aid me in my search!

I finally the Automated Farm build from the previous episode with the addition of a few range upgrades and I head back to The End to grab something that will help with future ender pearl acquisition.

I finally discover the Savanna biome after many hours searching. I had to resort to using a mod to do so. Either way I found a desert and savanna biome! Hooray!

I spend most of this episode fending off monsters tunneling into my base while trying to figure out how to recover.

I finally the Automated Farm build from the previous episode with the addition of a few range upgrades and I head back to The End to grab something that will help with future ender pearl acquisition.

I set out on my journey to the savanna and desert biomes. The dragging a donkey around behind me wound't be so bad if this damn leash would stop breaking.

I decide I'm tired of chopping down trees so I think it's about time to work on putting together some sort of Automated Tree farm.

In this episode all hell breaks lose and I end up in quite the predicament...

I arrive at my destination! Finally we lay eyes on the fabled desert biome and slightly cooler twin the savanna. I quickly establish Charlie Base and get started slaying monsters.
