Mod loading problems

When I enter the FTB launcher I says 'Please wait while mods are being loaded'. I understand that it does this whenever you load Feed the Beast because I've played it before, but this time it just continues to say this and after leaving it for 20 mins nothing has loaded. Does anyone know what might have happened and how to resolve it?

Please let it load. The new packs take some time to load. It is also known that some times the launcher appears to be doing nothing, it is still loading. Leave it on over night if you have to.

Launcher used to work when I had a different graphics card installed now it crashes when loading... here is the log

Thank you for the error log. Please try Java 7u51, Java 8 is still not finalized. Also the Unknown character error is probably a config file that has become corrupted. A force update may fix it. Please post a console log as it might show exactly which config is the problem.
