A well done mod but TBH not of a high enough standard to add to an official FTB modpack...

Okay, just the fact that it comes out-of-the-box with its own recipe book and guide is down right bloody amazing. Such a simple feature, but one that seems to be somewhat uncommon.

It is a rather well made mod I'll give the modder that much credit. But as far as features go it's rather... mundane looking in comparisons to the rest of the FTB suite.

Would you rather have a single book for every single mod in the pack or just have the recipies in NEI?

Yeah, I guess it's not that good of an idea.

Both is great! It's like the Thaumicon. It is true the mod is lacking, I wouldn't touch the new ores or the furnaces or the nukes or the armor or the tools or the wand or the portable workbench..

Okay, I'd use it for the book and the rain summoning block. And the cupboard, that's pretty cool and simple and should be elsewhere in FTB already.

-le sigh- That's not what I meant. I didn't mean just recipes, but something along the lines of in-game documentation, gives you a basic synopsis of how the various blocks and items work and interact with things. That way, your need to, say, go to a wiki to discover how shit works is reduced, if not all-out eliminated should the documentation be both succinct and thorough. That is what I want, and that's what I like about the concept. NEI can handle recipes and some other smaller bits of info, but something more specific would be wonderful, and it'd be a bloody godsend for something like GregTech.

The Computercube does this...but it's like...emeralds and platinum.
Compare that to the Thaumicon...a nugget, a cheap shard, a stick, and a bookshelf.
And this one! Sticks around a book. Greg has the right idea, but it's just too expensive for it's purposes. Instant and easy crop analysis? Okay, maybe I can kinda understand it (okay, not really).

Even then, if I remember correctly, it doesn't really tell you how things like his inventory management machines actually bloody work, and from what I've been able to find, the documentation on them is either non-existent, useless, or out-of-date, leaving me to go thru a rather irritating trial-and-error process in creative to figure out how the damn things work in the first place. They might be the wunderkind of inventory management, but if figuring out how to actually use the damn thing is a pain in the ass, few people are gonna want to spend the time to use 'em.

Also, yes, Greg does seem to have a hard-on for making things more expensive than they've any right to be.

I'll give him his little GUI's in his casing required machines, but does it really have to stay there after the machine is set up?
I still feel mod documentation is 40% of the work. I have no trouble with that, I like to do that stuff. But I don't want to have to go and test everything for however long it will take me so I can go write about it.
