Problem Mod Blocks disappear, Vanilla stays (Tech World)

I just got an FTB server running today in the "Tech World" pack.
When I play single player through FTB, vanilla blocks and all of the mod blocks work.
When I log into the server, vanilla blocks will work, but when I try to place a mod block, it disappears.
Also: If I have a mod block in my tool bar at the bottom, then leave the server, when I log back in, said mod block is gone.

Other notes:
- Spawn protection is set to 16, I've flown 200+ blocks away and placement still fails
- Both my server and my client are on Win7 64-bit PCs
- Gamemode = 1

Sounds like either your missing a config or you have a config mismatch.
Are there any errors showing up when you start the server?

No errors. I get the general "Warning: Add more RAM this way" thing, but otherwise the server just gives all those normal [INFO] lines
