Hi guys,

So I'm building a massive version of a real-life nuclear power plant (That i'll be posting on here when completed) that I've been working on for 6 months however I'm constantly running into a funny problem; the complex is so large that I'm struggling to render it all in with the Optifine 32 chunk maximum.

I own my own server which has plenty of resources available, but I haven't come across a way to get above 32 chunks view distance on the client - The only mods I've found available are for very old versions of minecraft.

Can anyone advise on a way to do this if there is a way?

I'm using Direwolf20 1.7.10 Version 1.2.1.

My Computer is plenty powerful enough to cope with the increase in view radius.

Many Thanks,
Chris

Ok. I guess if you have money, you can do watever you want to
The incredible, almost intolerable, amount of truth and realism in that statement is something that few people seem to understand. (From my life experiences)

In an attempt to be on topic; a quick google search shows nothing, and I think you might be out of luck on that as that is something that is hard to change. (if I correctly remember a past discussion)

Not super expensive to achieve. A rig such as this one could achieve it. Pretty much your average gaming build(Although usually that 280 is a 290 or gtx 970, but MC doesn't need much GPU horsepower. Also, lacking SSD.)

CPU: Intel Core i5-4690K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor ($219.99 @ SuperBiiz)
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z97X-SLI ATX LGA1150 Motherboard ($103.99 @ SuperBiiz)
Memory: Pareema 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($48.99 @ Newegg)
Storage: Hitachi Ultrastar 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($39.75 @ Amazon)
Video Card: PowerColor Radeon R9 280 3GB TurboDuo Video Card ($169.99 @ Newegg)

I don't. :p The ones for "gaming" are, heavy, hot, expensive, and outdated in a year, and their processors are still inferior to a desktop pentium in terms of single threaded performance(the part that matters for gaming).
I know. Im a kid so i cant get all that good stuff. Sigh,

FastCraft 1.22 will make that possible (only in my local copy atm), at least when using the integrated server without Optifine.

If you play on a dedicated server you are limited to what's configured in server.properties, but never more than 20 chunks. That implies that you are currently only seeing 20 chunks, not 32, as long as there's no additional server mod. I may extend that limit as well, but there's some additional considerations and work to be done.
