Usually I just pack as much as possible mods in my own modpack and just roll with some kind of limiting configs for ore gen. But this time I want to create a more sublimated experience. I did discover minetweaker and modtweaker. Both great tools to customize minecraft experience. Thus for now there is couple of things that I am missing.

- I would like to customize world gen. Specifically set ore generation (y levels and quantity) for most popular ores and vanilla ones. I am sure that there is a mod that is already doing that. I would like to customize railcraft poor ores generation as well.

- I think that I did see a mod that was adding pickaxe of the core functionality to tinkers construct tools. (other thaumcraft tools abilities would be also extremly nice).

- Adding custom armors (with textures and so)

- Most likely I will have to add some additional blocks items (mostly for crafting reasons)

- Add (not modify) tinkers parts. Like tool rod made from greatwood with some stats and thaumic modifier.

- Maybe adding new ores / metals / alloys to the game.

Anyone has any leads on how I can do that?

COFHcore for ore gen
Railcraft poor ores is under the configs I am pretty sure
You will need a mod, I think, for the rest and that's when I become useless :p

Let's take these one at a time...
- I would like to customize world gen. Specifically set ore generation (y levels and quantity) for most popular ores and vanilla ones. I am sure that there is a mod that is already doing that. I would like to customize railcraft poor ores generation as well.
COFH Core and Railcraft configs allow you to do this

- I think that I did see a mod that was adding pickaxe of the core functionality to tinkers construct tools. (other thaumcraft tools abilities would be also extremly nice).
PIckaxe of the core ability as in it can give you the ingots... or? (I haven't used the PotC before) if that is the case, TiCon allows for auto-smelt.
The Lumberaxe works like the Axe of the Stream.
As for the hoe and the sword, I don't think there are replacements that are similar...

- Adding custom armors (with textures and so)
You're best bet for this is to make your own mini-mod. I don't think there is a mod that does configurable armours.

- Most likely I will have to add some additional blocks items (mostly for crafting reasons)
Quadrum

- Add (not modify) tinkers parts. Like tool rod made from greatwood with some stats and thaumic modifier.
I don't think this is possible without making an add-on to TiCon... but you could always modify a "useless" pickaxe type such as pigiron (by useless I mean one that very few people use)

- Maybe adding new ores / metals / alloys to the game.
Again... new mod, or make your own...

Tartarus.. I mean at work. Same thing really.

Custom ore gen mod.
Adds blocks to the world- does everything you ask.
Also can replace blocks. [so you can switch vanilla ores to stone if you want a fully custom ore gen, or remove unwanted mod ores/trees ect]

- Adding custom armors (with textures and so)
-Most likely I will have to add some additional blocks items (mostly for crafting reasons)
- Maybe adding new ores / metals / alloys to the game.
Custom Items can add generic blocks, liquids, items, tools, armour, food and crops.
Quadrum is also pretty good.

You'll want minetweaker and modtweaker to add the recipes.

Ok. That clears a lot. I was hoping that there is way to do most of this stuff without creating new mods, but if that is the case the why not.
Been a while since my last attempt.
But as fat I can tell tinkers construct does not have an API. That will be a pain in some dark place to maintain custom mod when tc is updating. At least thaumcraft and botania has a very nice APIs.
