So what's the point of this thread? Do you want help compiling a list of abbreviations?

Not too fond of this mod, but Mo' Creatures is MoC.

DRPG - DivineRPG
AE - Applied Enegistics
MFFS - Modular Force Field System
AS - Atomic Science
DC - Dartcraft
MMPS - Modular Powersuits
MPSA - Modular Power Suits Addons

There's a lot more. Too tired to list more though.

AM(2): Ars Magica
BM: Blood Magic (AFAIK this is correct)
ABOD: Another One Bites the Dust!
CCC: Code Chicken Core
NEI: Do I need to explain?
CC: Usually for ComputerCraft, but would conflict with Chicken Chunks if Chicken Chunks was often mentioned
OB: Open Blocks, assuming it's mentioned much
OC: Original Character, do not steal! Or Original Content, do not steal!(and Open Computers)
PR: Is Project: Red known as this yet?(or Press Release, or other non-Minecraft related things)
HR: Human Resources, aka a bunch of assholes
BnB: Hell, pure and simple(also Blood and Bones)
MF2: Minecraft Meets the Cooking Channel Meets Don't Starve(or Magic Farm 2; which isn't all that focused on Magic)
DW20: Seen this used to describe Direwolf20's modpack on the FTB Launcher
Direwolf20: A guy who does Minecraft LPs but really needs to admit he isn't a big deal anymore, not since RP2 is gone anyway
UE: Universal Electricity, aka Competing Standard Number 210390002039(for further details, wait for someone to post a link to the XKCD Comic on this issue)
XKCD: Not even the writer seems to have a clue what this stands for, apparently
YX33A: It's more fun to not tell anyone who hasn't made a guess what this means, thus making this name into a sort of cruel joke on any community I use it in
CSB: Cool Story, Bro
Tl;Dr: This Post, or Too Long; Didn't Read
Your Mom: The ultimate retort to any open ended insult, or the ultimate insult on it's own
Fat Vriska: I'm sorry, but this explanation has been truncated as it did not fit into this post, we are sorry for this inconvenience.
Andrew Hussie: that guy who writes/wrote Homestuck and other comics, AKA god, apparently
CHIM: The secret symbol in Royalty, used to describe those who can alter reality at will, in TES
TES: The Elder Scrolls
MMM: Marts Monster Mod(or Marts Mutant Mod for FO)
FO: Fallout
FCOM: A waste of time in the end
OOO: Obscurios Oblivion Overhaul, aka that mod that makes the first dungeon you explore in TES IV the last one you explore before unistalling OOO
cALIBR: I hope I got that spelling correct(and yes, they skip a letter in it actually), but it's a mod that adds a ton of real life ammunition types to FO3 and FO: NV(IIRC it has a FO: NV port), yet only the .50 cal ammo gets used very often, except in FO: NV where they have that natively(assuming you have the Gun Runners DLC IIRC)
DU: Depleted Uranium, aka the stuff that people sometimes say that their bullets are made with; aka something that is only used in a very limited selection of ammo types, if used at all(and IIRC has been outlawed by the Geneva Convention), as it is very dense, thus making it ideal for AP rounds, mainly APDS rounds to cut down on costs(and make it more useful), and is only really used in Anti-Armor applications
AP: Armor Piercing, aka "cop killers", aka normal ammo for warfare these days
HP: Hollow Point, aka "dumdums", aka the only ammo that Law Enforcement uses as it is very unlikely to over-penetrate and not many civies have usable body armor anyway
-DS: Usually only used in the term APDS, it stands for Discarding Sabot, it is a ammo type that fires a undersized projectile from a large caliber munition to increase penetration, allowing it to do more damage to Armored Targets
-EX: Typically used in a long ass ammo type, stands for Explosive
HE: A variant type of explosive, it in fact stands for High Energy, as it uses the explosive with as little fragmentation as possible, making it great for doing less damage to infantry outside of the area of effect
AoE: Area of Effect
DPS: Damage Per Second, calculated from DPA and ASPD
DPA: Damage Per Attack
ASPD: Attack Speed
Tank: A character in a game who is there to soak damage and get the "aggro" on him, allowing the party to do their thing, typically relies on having awesome armor or dodge stats, ideally both
Regen Tank: A Tank who can soaks damage by virtue of healing too fast for damage to stick, works best against foes with a low ASPD regardless of their DPS, is ineffective against foes with a high ASPD and high DPS
#No1Curr: No one cares, aka a common response on the internet since this term has been invented
U Mot Mate: You What, Mate? AKA Brit Speak meets Internet speak, usually used to imply that the user has no clue where the poster is coming from or getting at
Tl;DR: This Post, or Too Long, Didn't Read.

I still use "RC" to refer to RotaryCraft, and all the documentation - where it uses abbreviations - does so as well. Given that I nearly never see RailCraft referred to as RC, I think this is worth noting.
