MobiusCore disabled FTB 1.5.x

Can anyone post a small explanation why mobiuscore is disabled by default going forward for FTB Infinity 1.5.x? I just want to know to avoid any pitfalls.

If you enable it players without it enabled can still join though.

I'll tell you what you can do. Check out Prof.Mobius' mods out, and see which require the core. If you have any mods enabled that require it(ie opis) then you will need the core enabled as well. Otherwise, you'll be fine! Worse thing that will happen is FML catching it and telling you that you're missing a required mod, in which it will tell you what you're missing.

In terms of multiplayer, it should have no issue

It was disabled by default because Opis is disabled by default, serverside the only mod that requires MobiusCore was Opis. So since it was always disabled by default, they did the same with MobiusCore.
