Mob help needed

Hey!
The zombies, skeletons, creepers etc are all but gone from the game. I was in a ravine and hunting in caverns for over an hour and only saw one zombie. It is on easy but it has always been on easy. Any suggestions on getting them back? I need an ender pearl! LOL

Oh btw the Twilight has plenty of them.

It could be peaceful mobs in chunks that aren't being unloaded properly are filling up the mob cap. Do you have tons of squid wherever you look?

Yes, squid, horses, pigs, cows. Just no mean mobs. Not tons, the regular amount

Oh you're in 1.6 right? Hecates are known to cause problems. Try switching to peaceful and back in order to kill them.

Well on a server you can't switch difficulty on the fly can you? Better use the command "/cofh killall" instead.

The fix I found for Hecates (unresponsive, infinite spawning) in 1.6.4 is to downgrade Ars Magica to 1.1.2 (not 1.1.2b).'

AFAIK, it'll have to be downgraded not only on the server, but also for everyone using that server.
