I am making a server for my friends and I and they want a server with both Universal Electricity mods (for example, ICBM, Electric Expansion) and FTB mods (for example, Industrialcraft, Buildcraft). Is there any way I can mix mods of these two packs and put them on a server?

You can always mix anything. Generate UE config files in multimc, reconfigure to fit in acceptable ID ranges for whatever pack you're using, shove mods into pack. Proceed to shoot off missiles at the speed of hilarious.

EDIT: Well, except mods that are strictly incompatible, but the ones you're mentioning certainly are compatible. The only incompatibilities I know of are DivineRPG/Mystcraft and a few obscure ones with Ars Magica.

it's not so much about IDs it's more about what the mods do
Example:
I used Mekanism and it generated platinum ore, which made getting iridium in Gregtech REALLY easy...So if you want to just mess around then I wouldn't worry about what I just said but if you are trying to play 100% legit without loopholes then check that the mods don't do something another mod does more easily....

I assumed he just meant in terms of compatibility. Of course something so broad will be virtually impossible to balance...for instance, I like to use MineChem for its non-hilariously-exploity features. Don't always have to abuse the loopholes.
