Mixed Natura and Highlands

I have a FTB style world which predates Direwolf20's 1.6 pack. It works but between the two biome generators, I can't find any Extreme Hills vanilla biomes (and therefore no emeralds). Do either of these mods have emerald containing biomes - I've looked but not found.

I'd say you're safest way to find emeralds would be to either create a villager sorting system to get reasonable trades or find an Extreme Hills Mystcraft page to make a world devoted to emeralds.

If you are after emeralds and have tinker's construct installed, I believe you can "smelt" the villages into molten emerald which can be poured into either a casting basin (the big tub thing that makes blocks) or a gem cast (which you can get from pouring aluminum brass/gold onto a emerald). Make sure can breed/multiply the villages before you start smelting them though

Hey thanks for the ideas.

Ole. I hate trading with villagers because their deals for emeralds are unreasonable, but the deals for Mystcraft pages are much better and an extreme hills Mystcraft world sounds interesting. I need a digger age anyway.

Thanks Lath. for the info on where to dig. I've tried these but I guess I'm just unlucky. I was starting to think Highlands left them out.

Mav.- Smelt "villages". Do you mean smelt "villagers"? I suppose I could use a grabbity gun to get them in there but I already feel guilty about killing them.

Yeah, villagers There might be other ways if you feel guilty about it, have a look around in NEI. I personally have never felt really guilty about disposing of villagers, it's their own damn fault for not leaving the doors alone.
