Just started playing this modpack a couple days ago, loving it so far. Hopefully it is more well-accepted than Tekkit, thanks to the mod permissions.

My issue is this: I tried to craft an IC2 rotary macerator today, only to get stuck trying to figure out mixed metal ingots. I know from playing Tekkit that usually it's just a row of refined iron, a row of bronze, and a row of tin, but this isn't working. I looked up the recipe in NEI thinking maybe it had changed, and the recipe's not even listed. (I can see the item, but no recipe pops up when I click on it.) Has this been changed by Gregstech, or is there some other issue going on I'm not aware of?

I'll give you a hint. It needs to be done in a rolling machine.

I don't understand why NEI isn't giving you a recipe though. It really should be.

So if I don't want to play with Railcraft, I can't make any of the higher-tiered IC2 items?

I don't have railcraft to test but leaving it enabled for the rolling machine wouldn't hurt anything else in any event :)

You can if you turn off the GregTech Recipes. Instructions for these can be found here. The one you're specifically hunting is "MMIngotOnlyRollingMachine=true", which needs to be set to false; if you want a "vanilla IC2" experience all the way through, just set it all to false (and the number of tin to cells to 16 instead of 8).

Try railcraft, seems quite fun ;) Blast furnace incoming soon ;) and steel steel steel :D

One mod at a time. :p Since forestry wasn't in the latest version of Tekkit, which is the version I learned on, I'm now familiarizing myself with it. :)
