These are mods that are small and enhance the game in someway like you said;
-Revamp
-Description Tags
-Ore Dictionary Converter
-Villager's Nose
-Infernal Mobs (If you don't already know what this is then what are you doing)
-Primitive Mobs
-Sound Filters
-Lava Monsters
-Lost Books
-Void Monster
-Randomite
-Geostrata (Not small but notable since it does a single thing)
-Void Glasses
-Trail Mix
-Troll Ore
-Hardcore Darkness
-Ender Zoo
-Potion Packs
-Chisel Facades (Chisel Addon)
-Compact Machines
-Rotatable Blocks
-Carpenters Blocks (Not too small but notable since it does a single thing)
-Chisel (Not small but notable since it does a single thing)
-JAMI
-AOBD
-ttCore
-Mimicry (If you want to keep your game balanced with this installed turn off all but End Generation and remove the crafting Recipe)
-Gravity Gun (I'd Remove this from Dungeons to keep balance, It's recipe is a little cheap for what it does but Minetweaker can fix that if your willing to go that far to use it)
Underrated Mods:
These are mods alot of people don't look at but are very nice and should be looked at;
-MineChem 5 (It's not small but its very underrated and in my opinion a good and balanced alternative to Project E)
-Mutant Creatures (Roving bosses, ara ara)
-Hardcore Ender Dragon (The End has never been Endier)
-Automagy (Thaumcraft Addon)
-Magia Naturalis (Thaumcraft Addon)
-Legend Gear 2
-MITHRIL MOD (Let me say, It does look like it's done badly but It's actually a really nice mod; It's just presented oddly. Also if you want to make re-summoning the Ender Dragon less spammy just remove the recipe for the Flute, Hardcore Ender Dragon already adds a way to resurrect the Boss)

Thank you. I am always looking for mods to add, and you have helped me alot. So much so, that I have installed nearly all of these, and they all work with my other 270 mods. I'm trying to mod the game to literal oblivion, you have helped with that.

If you want a big mod with no World Gen you can plop into your world Rotarycraft.
I'd also like to advertise myself 
I didn't like that glass doesn't drop anything. So there you have Glass Shards. It's also nice to have an early game alternative for the stone sword.

Inventory Tweaks. A must-have for me.
Iron Chest or something similar. Vanilla chests ain't cut it.
Something for faster leaf decay is also nice to have.

That reminds me, I refuse to play without mouse tweaks; inv too but you already said it lol.

Done, will find a new one sometime.
Ender Book for fast travel anywhere. Backpacks for the crafting bag. INpureCore for the removal of microblock spam from nei. Practicalities for its magnet which works better than anyone elses.
