The twilight forest has tons of them in its swamps - I usually just go there for rubber trees if there aren't any near my spawn.

I have never once had any trouble finding rubber trees, but if you do have trouble look into IC2's crop system as you can get sticky reeds which give rubber.

Slimeball to resin is Gregtech thing. I tried to start world without rubber trees once, but unfortunately disabling generation of rubber trees also disables centrifuge recipe for propolis which made it impossible to do anything with parts of IC2 requiring electricity.

Edit: maybe not that impossible, I completely forgot about stickreed.

Or go to bees. You can centrifuge propolis to resin. You can also plonk RP2 rubber trees into the sawmill for a 1/3 chance of resin, I think.

Oh, I thought it was IC2, I really thought I had used that in the past in a tekkit world. Apologies if I caused confusion!
