Whenever I am digging, mining, or doing anything tat involves breaking a block, whenever I pick up a block the block I am currently breaking resets itself. Why is this? Can it be fixed? I am using the Direwolf20 pack, minus Xycraft. There are no errors, not even on the console. The block I am mining just... resets. This is painfully evident with a diamond shovel on dirt... it triples my digging time.

I had this problem a while back. I was not pleased at the fact that I was basically lagging on a single-player map. In my case it was because I set up a Quantum Generator stupidly and made it spam so many energy packets that it was murdering the internal server's tick rate.

In English, something is over-exerting your server somehow. What do you have set up in your world?

If this is on a server you will need to move away from spawn.

If this isn't on a server i have no idea and first time i heard about this problem.

(probably ignore this. should have read all of the post.) -_-

I have a large lava tank set up, pulling lava from the nether to power two geothermal generators. Other than that I have a continuously running forestry wheat farm that is running using glass fiber cables about 50 blocks away from my generators. Nothing else is really continuous use...

Sounds like bad server lag. I get this too sometimes when I play on my crappy work pc (ssp). Happens even in a fresh world with no machines.

Only if you actually own the server. If you're playing single-player the server is internal so you have control over it.

Otherwise this is unfortunately dependent on the quality of your internet connection, the quality of your server's internet connection, and the distance IRL between the two. It's generally a bad idea to use game servers hosted on another continent for this reason.
