Minecraft stops loading

  • Tech Support section is for getting help with FTB related problems. If there's a repeatable issue that can be labeled as a bug, then please use the issue tracker for the pack or the app at GitHub issue trackers - If there's no repository for a pack that means that the pack is old and/or will not be updated. Bugs for older packs will not be fixed, unless they are critical.

Title:
Minecraft stops loading
Launcher Version:
1.4.7
Modpack:
Hubris
Modpack Version:
1.4.1
Log Link:
Details of the issue:
Ok, I hope I get this done in english. :)

The server I'm playing on updated its Hubris version from 1.3.0 to 1.4.1 yesterday (both versions run on MC 1.7.10). Now, for some reason Minecraft stops loading (it dont crash) at the follow step:

Loading - Initializing Minecraft Engine (3/7)
Rendering Setup - Render Global instance (4/9)

The strange point is, I can start every FTB Modpack without any issues which do not include this new loading screen, no matter which MC version it use. On the other hand, Modpacks like now Hubris or Departed don't start at every attempt. Sometimes, very very rarly, Minecraft starts this Modpacks, too. I didn't figure out so far to what it depends, a reboot doesn't help. My drivers and Java are updated.

hmmm I need to learn to read logs better lol. Did you try to update to the latest pack lately? Cause you said you can play all other 1.7.10 packs correct?
I found out the 10GB RAM are the max RAM you can set in the FTB Launcher options.
Yes, I Downloaded this Pack recently. I also deleted minecraft fully and downloaded it all.

Make sure your video drivers are up to date and you also may have to update forge as well.
Shouldn't I use the forge version which is downloaded with the pack?

There is no reason to really use past 4 or 5 GB of ram to client. :)

ftb folder/libraries/net/forge

You will the forge versions in the folder location above.

You can update forge and you should be able to delete the ones that are there. You may to put it in a folder like the versions that are there. As always do a backup just in case.

Giving to much memory to java will hurt performance and 4gb is usually enough unless you are using some crazy hi-res resource pack.
That is why I said that :) I am upgrading my stuff in like 2 weeks, I am getting a extra 16gb of ram , a GTX970 and probably a 24 inch monitor can not wait! Then all those amazing texture packs will be mine lol

I think it works now fine. :) I installed the new beta video driver for batman arkham knight. It seems minecraft loads everytime.

Thank you guys for your support. :)

Btw. I took a look at my Task Manager while Hubris was running: 3.1GB in use for javaw.exe. I'm using a 32k texture pack.
