I understand the issues regarding the forge versions 499 thru 517. For the past week or so I've been trying to fix them by downloading and installing Minecraft forge 518. However I cannot download it because the Minecraft forge website will not load for me. Is anyone else experiencing issues downloading forge? I love playing FTB but without optifine I only get about 20-30 fps whenever I look at my giant sorting machine, with optifine I get anywhere from 80 to 300 (New world).

http://www.minecraftdl.com/minecraft-forge-api/ trying to download forge from here doesn't work either.

Please at the very least let me know if you can open that first link or not.

Just disabled all plug-in. Still won't load. The only AV I have is Microsoft's default one. Site still won't load.

EDIT: About a week ago when I first opened the site it did load, but it wouldn't download anything. Maybe it is my AV?

EDIT 2: I also tried clearing my browser cache. While trying to load the site Chrome sits on: Waiting for ajax.cloudfare.com

Microsoft doesn't really have a default program any longer. From what I've seen come home on computers you could be running anything from Norton to McAfee to nothing at all lol.
Maybe a popup blocker?
(I'm slowly running out of ideas)
Or your cache needs clearing.

Nah, I built my computer and installed windows 8 myself, so I know it had nothing third party on it. I did clear my cache, and it's sitting on "waiting for files.minecraftforge.net"[DOUBLEPOST=1360465169][/DOUBLEPOST]Just turned my firewall off completely. Still no luck ]=

Ahh... Interesting. I can connect to the site from my iphone. I wonder if my laptop would be able to connect to it as well. If It can I can download forge there and move it over. Still bothers me a bit that this isn't working.[DOUBLEPOST=1360465553][/DOUBLEPOST]The bugger works and downloads fine from my laptop. Glad my problem is fixed, but I'm new seriously wondering why my desktop won't load the site =/

Download the universal package. Javadocs are programming documentation.

Trying to install Forge with the javadocs is like shoving a manual into a disk drive. ;P
