I usually run at a solid 60fps in all areas of my base. I have many IC2 machines as well as lots of TE machines, a boiler, and a few farms. This was all fine at 60fps; I make YouTube videos and always have an eye on my FPS. It sits at a solid 60fps while recording.
After updating to v8.0.1 I'm getting severe FPS decreases, usually in bursts. 60fps for a few seconds, then down to 10-20fps for a second, then back to normal. It seems like garbage collection pauses, watching the RAM usage climb very fast then get GCed back down constantly with F3 debug stats up.
My computer specs are much more than minecraft needs 4.4GHz i7 and a GTX 570. Like I say I usually get 60fps while FRAPsing.
Any ideas on what changed in v8.0.1 that I can remove from my world to correct this problem?
