Mindcrack ThaumCraft bug/broken?

Well awhile ago I was playing a Mindcrack server and messing around with thaumcraft. One day the server went down for a couple days and when my friends and I returned we were missing most of our items and my Thaumacomacon was missing. I crafted a new one and all my recipes were gone. I wasn't to upset because I could just start over. When I tried to start over by creating a nitor it said "You found something, but you don't have a place to record your findings." I tried again it didn't work. I uninstalled Mindcrack and reinstalled. I completely uninstalled the launcher. I tried different packs and no matter what it couldn't find a place to record my findings. Anyone know a fix to this if so please help.

Sounds more like something the server owner messed up, considering the server had a downtime of multiple days.
Lots of items gone can mean a massive rollback, save corruption, etc.
Has the world rollbacked too, or just your inventories?

Well funny thing is that I have gone to single player and it doesn't work. I have gone to a different modpack and it still doesn't work.

From what I recall... if you have a piece of paper in your inventory you won't get that "You found something, but you don't have a place to record your findings." message... instead that piece of paper turns into a theory similar to if you had attempted to research in the research bench.

I haven't unlocked the abitility to use a research bench. I need to use the cauldron thingy first. I submitted a ticket a while ago, but the support is as bad as Nexon. I didn't even get a automated message. So now I have resulted to the community.

you don't need to do anything to get the research table.

Just tried with Research Table same resault

EDIT: Deleted and redid Mindcrack and used the table and everything is working again.

My advice had nothing to do with the research bench anyway. I was using that as an example related to what item you will receive if you zap things in a cauldron.

Have paper in your inventory, make nitor in the cauldron, instead of getting that "You found something, but you don't have a place to record your findings." message, a piece of paper will turn into a theory.
