Sinds friday 15-02-2013 our minecraft mindcrack server is freezing without any crash report. When i rebooted mindcrack server. Server stats up, all looks normal. but console won't react on any commands. The client won't connect.
We restored a full backup of the World Folder, and server was working again.
Saterday 16-02-2013 it was frozen again. So we did an restore again. All was working fine till 18-02-2013
Soo I started investigating again. I went in to the World Folder, and in the Region Folder.
I sorted all *.MCA file on last accessed date. And moved them to an other folder. Started the Server, and the server was running. So 1 of the 15 *.MCA files is causing it. So i moved them 1 by one back, and did started and stopped the server for all files.
The file r.-1.3.mca was causing it, so i only restored that file from backup, and the server was working again.
But only again for 2 days. Now i need to do every day an restore of an file, not the same file. Random files from the overworld, that are loaded on startup on the server.

Because there is no crash repport, i also tested to run DEBUG all day long, and when the server froze again. there was nothing to see.

Client error: End of Stream

When the server freezes, users are still in game and able to chat.

Did check disk on the disk / no errors.

We are running Mindcrack 8.0.1
World size is 6,6 gb
Added Mystracft: version ; mystcraft-uni-1.4.6-0.9.5.00.zip (but not the mystcraft ages are not effected)

Could you guys advise me what to do? I have about 100 active users on the server, and those people are getting a bit frustrated.

Again: Before someone says post crashreport, there is non generated.

The only issue I see is IC2 server log spam but other than that everything seems normal for your version of the modpack. It might be possible that something added is locking up the server thread but seeing how you have 100 active users on the server it doesn't seem like you have the luxury of trying to track it down to a specific mod/addon.

I wish I could offer some useful advice but I'm completely at a loss to what the exact problem could be and it doesn't seem like the logs will help.

I have a dedicated Dell PowerEdge 710 (64gb mem / xeon 24cors 3,4ghz) for only Mindcrack, Could run 10 of those servers on it (or more). So i also have a "test" server on a other port.
So i am able to do test, with the 'crashed' version. Have been reading all week on freezes, also come to a post that ComputerCraft HTTP API could cause it, so i disabled that, but no result.

The things what stuns me, is that the region files (MCA files) are random messed up. Where using almost every mod that possible and the regions that are effected are using (Chunk loaders / World Anckers).

Could a freeze be caused when we hit the 2000chunks loaded (limit of Forge i think) ?
Or because our world is 6,6gb of size? (7gb on disk)?

Directly at start up of the server, the server also does not respond on console messages anymore.[DOUBLEPOST=1361705998][/DOUBLEPOST]Is there maybe a tool, that can read / check / repair an MCA file, or give an exact location with coordinates for in game, where the issue could be, in that specific region?
