I was in a creative world testing out fusion power. Simple setup, reactor runs to 4 supercondensators which each run to 4 HV Trans. and all up to a central storage array of 42 A.E.S.U.s (Using superconductor wire for the whole thing because why not?)

I decided to drain a bit of that power so I spawned in quantumhelmet, quantumlegs, quantumboots and GraviChestplate, and charged them all to full and put them on. Then I felt like testing the gravichestplate so I switched to survival mode, while standing on a superconductor wire right next to a supercondensator.

BAM! Instant death from electrocution.
When I came back to my death spot, I picked up the gravichestplate and found it had about 3.5million EU left.

What UNGODLY bolt of energy can sap 7,500,000EU from a GRAVICHESTPLATE? A nuke dosen't take anywhere near that much.

Part random story, part my curiosity wondering what on earth the damage reduction formula for the GraviChestPlate is so that I can say I got hit for 49138431 hearts or something.

Half a year back on the Tekkit forums, somebody designed a sytem of MFUS and HV transformers that output into an uninsulated HV cable, to be used on PvP servers as a trap to kill players in Quantum armor. Get enough EU/t, and it'll fry you right through the thickest armor... working as intended! ;)

I remember a similar thread on the IC2 forums which went about trying to design an "electric fence" that could be run undergroud to kill the mobs, but leave the players merely mortally wounded.

They basically worked out that a single set of transformers wouldn't do the job, and left it be, but it's always something that I'm half-tempted to investigate as a defense option.

Challenge accepted! :)
