I am building two mfr tree farms and wondering how can set one up as a power source but do not know rather turn saplings in to biofuel or solid fuel
 
Either saw the logs into planks or burn them into charcoal AND turn the saplings into ethanol. One fair sized tree farm = at least one solid fuel boiler and one liquid.
 
And if you get into thaumcraft, adding a single lamp of growth drastically speeds up the growth making a smaller field able to produce quite a bit more with the same footprint.
