I've set up a boiler system that runs off of charcoal, which I am using MFR to create wood for. I'm currently using oak wood but I'd like to be able to switch it out for MFR rubber trees for additional rubber. However, the MFR fertilizer does not want to grow the rubber trees. I also cannot grow the trees with bone meal. I've placed the rubber saplings elsewhere and have had them grow easily. I'm using the Direwolf20 1.5 pack for reference, MFR version 2.6.4-975.

Thanks in advance

Invisible blocks can impede plant growth. Are there any wrath lamps near your farm? If yes, remove them. If not then check your railcraft config. Set the block id for "hidden" to 0. That should disable tracking aura. It is a feature from railcraft which leaves a trail displaying where your character has been for the last half an hour and it is visible when you wear a special set of goggles but it has been known to cause some problems with other mod features.

No wrath lamps near the farm, and like I said, I can grow oak trees farm, I cannot grow the MFR trees in their place however. I doubt that Railcraft's trails are the issue.

I know you can grow oak trees but I was thinking that it might only be a problem with modded trees. Possibly.

Good luck solving your problem because if its not the tracker issue then I can't think of anything else.

How about just increasing the size of your farm with upgrades, and not worrying about fertilizer. I run my MFR tree farm this way and get massive amounts of oak logs; if the rubber grows slow, make another or a bigger farm. Just a thought.

Origin grass? Also speed is key with this farm, which is why I want instant growth on my trees.

With a big farm, after a while the trees will be pooping up on their own quite regularly. What do you need it for? Also Origin grass is from Biomes o plenty. They only generate in the Origin valley biome and you will probably need to silk touch them. Or cheat it in. However, I think it was a joke.

On my FTB ultimate world, I have an 11x11 mfr farm with rubber wood (copper upgrade?), and there are 1-2 trees grown at all times. I can run a boiler off of the charcoal produced and still have excess charcoal, and I only use 1 powered furnace, which doesn't have a prayer of keeping up. Increase the size of the farm, and forget about fertilizer. You will have absolutely no need for it if they didn't nerf the things.

Modded trees do not grow and the extremely light, bright green origin grass for BoP.

As others have said though if speed is key place a silver upgrade on the planter and emerald on the harvester and you'd never know there wasn't fertilizer.
