Because I know that ForgeMultiPart support for the MFR Rednet Cables may or may not be coming in 1.7 and at current moment, the two crash with default configs, I was wondering what I would have to change to make them work without said crash? I'm currently building a personal "modpack" for a Let's Play I'm going to be starting soon and I really do want both mods installed.

I have already asked Skyboy (the current maintainer of MFR) on the Minecraft Forums, and while he did clarify when FMP-support might come, but seemed to outright ignore my question of what I would have to change.

I think he's saying that his 1.6.2 version won't ever work with multipart's 1.6.2 version and the recommended build of multipart is still 1.6.2. There have been 100+ builds since then into 1.6.4, so give one of those a shot.

On Configs, there's nothing special about them. They're just text files. Open them up and see if you can identify & fix potential problems.

I'll have to look into the specific builds later as I'm not at my usual computer. As for the configs, I know they're just text files.

Last I heard, the source of the crash was a rendering bug. My guess is that FMP changes something about the rendering of the block if the relevant ID is in the config file and by default, FMP wants to change the cable's render and MFR isn't liking that, so it throws a hissy fit. I'll test more later though, like I said, I'm not at my usual computer.

I have been playing an 1.6.4 pack with latest MFR and almost latest FMP for over a month now, never have a crash caused by these two.
