ALrighty, let me kick this off by saying that I'm having a bundle of issues that I assume are related, as they all started happening at the same time. However, they also appear unrelated due to their erratic nature.

First off, here is my woefully useless trouble ticket. It has most all of the information except what I'm about to add here
http://desk.feed-the-beast.com/index.php?/Tickets/Ticket/Update/18340

Now, I've been troubleshooting this ever since the update to 1.5.2 and I think I've come up with a conclusion, I just don't know how to fix it.

It seems that my java is only utilizing, or perhaps allocating is a better term, 488mb~ of memory despite my settings. I've got 64bit Version 7, Update 45 Java; for reference. And normally have 5-8 GB "Allocated" through the launcher. THough changing the value apparently does nothing.

Before anyone suggests it. I've got a clean install of Java and EVERYTHING Minecraft, even stuff that doesn't directly touch any files related to FTB.

Help! Any is great appreciated.

No additional parameters. I assumed FTB handled that.

For console logs, I'm assuming you just meant Pastebin my debug console and post it, so here ya go.

This is attempting to launch Horizons 1.6.4. Game loaded fine, until attempting to make a world. The world was created, but crashes from a memory error as soon as it actually starts to exist.

How much memory does your system have in total? Looking at a post from a java site it mentions about garbage collection. I would suggest using the jvm arguments from the thread here.

12 GB total, with 3-4 being utilized at any given time.

Also, going into all of this argument stuff is over my head, could you explain it to me, or point me at a resource for it? The only argument I ever played with was -Xmx4GB xD

I don't know much about it myself but Eyamaz did all the hard work, and it took him a month to do it, in the thread I linked for you.

Go to the advanced options within the launcher and copy the text from the ftb launcher spoiler in the thread and paste it into the jvm parameters box.

Follow the steps below to check for possible additional java parameters.

1. Go to the control panel
2. click system and security
3. click system
4. click advanced system settings
5. click environment variables

Now check to see if there is anything listed there relating to java and if there is then click edit, but don't change anything, and take note what it is then let me know.

Yup, i think I understand. There's a variable under Java Xmx512. And as I said earlier, that is the one that I DO get lol. Let me guess, elete it, the copy paste the rest in?

I think that variable is a global one and that is why you are limited to 488mb of ram. I am not sure if that was added in because of a problem with java or some other program might have added it.

I would remove it then add the parameters to the ftb launcher from my previous reply.

Is the delete button not clickable. Can you change it them? If so then set it at what you want to allocate for the ftb launcher.

Welp, I don't know what went wrong, but my launcher froze, and now I can't open any Java based applications, includin, but not limited to, Java's command console

Honestly, I did nothing. When I reloaded the launcher after adding the advanced parameters, it crashed , and now my Java is on the fritz.

There is something terminally jacked up, so I'm just gonna back up my computer then take liberal use of my "accidental Damage" warranty.
