Hai. So im playing the direwolf20 pack with mekanism added. Everything works fine and dandy.

I am making a sorting system using the mekanism logistical pipes and the sorter.

Now in 1.7.10 mod id filter is added. Which is awesome. But.. how do i find the mod id ?

it says on the mekanism wiki that it use the internal ID string of the mod item. But i have been looking for ever and can not for the life of me find it ingame or on google. (might be using the wrong search terms :/ )

Ive tried added the item id, the name of the mod, tried clicking items into the window. Everything. What am i doing wrong or not doing right ? :p
Basicly. How do i use the mod id filter ?

any help is appreciated

I assume you have NEI, create a dump of your itempanel (all the items in the right side of the screen): In inventory: press options (or settings, idk) -> tools -> dumps, set itempanel to CSV. Then, in the folder where your minecraft instance (your pack) is installed, there will be a folder called dumps, in this there is now a file called itempanel.csv. Find the item you are looking fore (for instance dirt), in the first row you will find the unlocalized name for your item (minecraft:dirt). The word before the colon is the mod ID you are looking for.

Isn't the modid among the displayed information in the list of mods (main menu, go "Mods", select one on the left)?
