ME-system with regular chests

Hi,

I basically want to use ME for all the crafting power, but still want to use my regular chests, just because I like that. I could condense 10 barrels and equal number of chests to 5 blocks and a few cables, but it just isn't the same.
I want to auto-sort based on what is in the chest, without having to break open the floor every time I change the contents.

Any hints?

This is the method that I use in my current world and I like it a lot. Its pretty straight forward, a storage bus under every chest. One nice thing is pulling the storage bus partition from the attached inventory with one click. You still have to access the storage bus when you want to change the partition, but in my set up with the storage bus underneath I can catch the edge of it without having to break anything.
