My issue is on my quarry is push item into a tess and into and storage bus into te ME network, but the items are getting stored on the drives and not the deep storage units. Any ideas? first time trying ME. Watch some videos but on help

If that is a storage bus on the DSU, then make sure that you set its priority(available as a tab in UI in newer versions, shiftclick with a wrench in older versions) higher than the priority on the other storage. Also the ME network will fill any storage already containing that item first, despite another storage has higher priority. So take all the items out of the network, set DSU storage bus to higher priority and put items back in.
Me personally I just filter the storage bus by putting one of the item in it. I have never had to set priorities on mine and items always go into the DSU and not the disk drives

As I mentioned it all depends on where the items are put first. If there is no item of the kind in any of the storage, I would think they go to the first processed.
The way I set my system up is I have my quarry tesseract feeding into a small logistics pipes network. High volume items that I have stored I DSU's are routed straight to the proper DSU with my default route being the pipe connected to the me interface... I then have storage busses hooked up to each one so that items are available to the ae system and they never go through the it.
