Hey everyone.
I was thinking about auto-cleaning my ME system somehow and can figure out how to do it.
Basically what i want is Cobblestone (for example) go from my quarry into the barrel, then the excess into the trash can + what is in the barrel can be pulled for auto-crafting automatically.
Is that possible?

To get the cobble to be pulled from a chest/barrel etc for auto-crafting you can use a ME Storage Bus.

As for the excess to go into a trash can you could use itemducts and set the duct going to the trash can as 'dense' mode so after the barrel is full it will go to the trash can.

I hope this makes as much sense as it did in my head (Which for once was a lot)

You'll need a storage bus on each of the barrels you want to use. I'm assuming JABBA barrels here, preloaded and locked to the appropiate item.

In these storage buses, increase the priority.

Then place a storage bus on the trash can, (but don't link it up until the bus configured!) In the items section, place items you wish to trash. (I'd suggest an ME Condensor instead of the trash can if possible) and set the priority to be between that of the default storage and the barrels. To use your example, Cobble entering the system will first try and enter the barrel, then if not able to fit there, to the trash can. The ME system can pull cobble from the barrel too, upon request or for crafting.

Dense mode? What's that?

It basically makes it the last port of call for any items in the pipe. So if you have a tree farm and all your storage is full but you want the farm to carry on and not get clogged up you could add a trash can, set the pipe to dense mode (hit it with the cresent hammer twice I believe) then everything will go into the trash can until space is made in a chest/barrel etc etc...

This really helped!
