So recently, I decided to use routers to do all my auto smelting/crafting so I can export and import almost seamlessly.

I then discovered for some reason this didn't workout properly, sometimes it worked sometimes it didn't.

I can auto craft most of the requested refined iron, but not all. This is tested with a machine filter upgrade and without. In fact, the machine filter upgrade does not seem to work well for me. I set to insert into an induction furnace and it doesn't budge, however if I set it to send to every machine in the network it gets sent to who knows where. None of my other crafting/smelting recipes work.

I was wondering if I'm doing something wrong or if it's a bug. Sometimes it seems like my ME Interface isn't sending the items into the routers. I am having this issue with other machines too.

Oh the modpack is Unleashed v1.1.7 minecraft version 1.5

The Machine filter have never worked with the Induction Furnaces for some reason. Really annoying bug.
What I prefer to do is is put one Router on top of each Induction furnace instead and have it Extract from a chest and eject down into the Furnace. The ME interfaces will then eject the materials into the chest(s). This gives much better bandwidth and round robin spread as a bonus.

Here I got ME interfaces inserting into an Iron chest and ME export bus' inserting ores/charcoal/etc. into an obsidian chest:

The bottom routers are set to extract from Iron chest, top Routers from Obsidian Chest. This should ensure that crafting jobs get prioritized at all time(along with the one furnace dedicated purely for crafting jobs) to make sure there is no slow downs of crafts.

Doing the same thing with Macerators with the setup furthest away.
