I see you have not, tackled, the nether in 1.5 then.
Go on, fight it i dare you! Record it and let everyone see you fail beat it in flying colors!
 
I've never died to one, thankfully. But I have run out of arrows on one and flew up (jetpack) into a glowstone clump to hide from it. Thankfully while it was trying to jump at me it was killing itself. One time I was mining some cobalt and one fell on top of me. Needless to say I fell. Off of my chair. Onto my floor. My thing with these massive spiders is what if someone with arachnophobia had to deal with a bunch of these (I tend to see them in groups).

Hah, thats nothing.
I had around 5 following me at one point, no pwer in jetpack. Startin to pillar up to my portal, then i realise, they're spiders, right?!
Not so much fun.

The worst part is that you can't see them until a certain distance. A distance where they see you too...
 
Just imagine if you had the Infernal Mobs mod. That has a chance of turning that horror into an Elite mob (using WoW terms) with extra random abilities and more health - shudder....

I recently added infernal mobs to my custom pack. They're not really that bad.... if you have a fully decked out powersuit, quantum suit, or something else in that league. If you don't... have fun dying!![DOUBLEPOST=1374451144][/DOUBLEPOST]

Yeah, that's what I thought about Natura when I first heard about it. What else are you supposed to think when you see all the pink flowery wood? But then you see the nether, and all those pink, flowery parts of the mod are twisted into this dark, evil, beautiful thing that is natura's nether.

If a wither skeleton is able to acquire a bow, it will use it to shoot at you. Any arrows it shoots will be on fire, and will cause you to catch fire, regardless of the bow's enchantments. It is not recommended to allow a wither skeleton access to a bow.

If a wither skeleton is wielding a bow, it will use it like an ordinary skeleton, but the arrows it shoots will be set on fire. This happens whether or not the bow has the Flame enchantment.

Now lets bring Greg into this and make it so that you must kill them with water in iridium buckets.
Next minute, places water and evaporates.

I've got that mod in my pack too. Just makes early game survival more challenging, and helps keep that challenge slightly higher further into the game.
