I have been playing Minecraft in general for about a year or two now and really enjoy it's various packs and mods. Recently I decided to switch from Tekkit Classic 3.1.3 to FTB Ultimate and have really enjoyed the updated mods within the pack. However I am having a really big issue trying to get Dynmap working on my server. After having it for several months on my Tekkit Server, and having used it on other servers for both Tekkit Classic and Vanilla Minecraft I really enjoy having this plugin online and of course, updated!

I am using the latest version of FTB Server (Ultimate) with MCPC+ 1.4.7 R1 Snapshot f534-L67

Now so far all my other plugins seem to be doing really great...

I have Essentials 2.10.1
PermissionsEX (I believe it's 1.19.6)
WorldEdit 5.5.6
WorldGuard 5.7.5
LWC 4.3.1
SpawnX Reborn 4.1

All of these plugins worked "out of the box" with MCPC+ and FTB Ultimate.

I tried installing dynmap several ways and so far after a week of pure frustration, I gave up, except for coming to the forums in hopes that someone had gone through this issue previously and managed to fix it. I am still somewhat new to owning a server, although not complete newbish... Any help would be greatly appreciated in advance.

NOTE: I have looked at several websites that simply say to install Dynmap Forge and DynmapCBBridge, this simply causes a very long error (10 to be exact) although it shows the error and then (9 more) as the last line... I don't currently have a copy of the error log to share this information (apologies).

That error would be the first step in fixing the problem. As all you should have to do do is use Dynmap Forge and you only need the CBBridge if you have plugins which hook into dynmap's api

I was hoping to use Dynmap Essentials and Dynmap Worldguard, which of course would need to link tot he API for Dynmap itself. I can try to replicate the error with Dynmap and post it, but as I specified before, it will not show all 10 errors, it will show one and then say 9 more as specified text.

And for reference, I am using:

Dynmap-1-7-1-forge-6.5.0.jar
DynmapCBBridge-1.7.jar

I will not be trying to install the two Dynmap dependencies for this test.

Results of the error:

Code:
2013-06-22 15:09:19 [SEVERE] Could not load 'plugins/Dynmap-1.7.1-forge-6.5.0.jar' in folder 'plugins'

ok, how about the DynmapCBBridge, also do I need to download the regular dynmap to go into the plugins folder to work with the forge file or no

Also is that mods, or coremods

Although it put's the dynmap folder in the primary directory rather then in plugins like I would prefer, it DOES seem to install without error and it seems to be rendering with minimal effort (low-res setup), I'm going to swap over to the hi-res config as I prefer and give the dynmap-essentials and dynmap-worldguard addon plugins a shot, hopfully without issue.

I would like to thank you very much for your help getting dynmap up and running, I tired for a week non stop moving things around and editing all I could find, as well as researching myself to death, I feel silly that it was something so easy to fix this. On behalf of everyone on my server THANK YOU!

I can usually tinker around with things I'm not familiar with or research my way into a safe and accure fix, but for some reason this is not a common problem people deal with, and it was driving myself and my support staff insane. My members, my staff and myself all LOVE dynmap, we can see the general world around our locations, see what has been explored, prospect new locations for mining, community building etc, as well as kind of be able to NOT bunch ourselves up when making a base for new players.

I have used this as stated before in Vanilla, as well as two different Tekkit Classic Servers I worked with and/or owned so It was very much a part of my experience of playing Minecraft and was very unhappy that it wasn't working.

Now let me ask another quick question (I can make another thread if needed/more appropriate), I have seen people connect their mIRC server to IRC chat servers and was wondering if maybe you knew anything about how to do that. I use mIRC to chat on several different severs as well as various platforms of servers and have for nearly a decade now, so again this is a core part of my day to day experience, and would like to see such a powerful tool implemented into my server setup. My hosting provider was unable to give me much information on such systems (partly for it being a third party application/service). Once again any/all help is greately appreciate in advance!

Ok so edit of my previous post here, I managed to get ForgeIRC installed and properly connected. I am wondering however, if there is a way to allow it to issue commands (e.g. being able to kick, ban players from the server), I do believe I've seen things like that doneform IRC, but I am not sure what mod/plugin was being used to perform the commands through IRC.

I have not messed with that. I have a way to do that threw a encrypted IRC channel, but I know there are ways to do it, but it requires some kind of mod/plugin integration for it.

I have CraftIRC downloaded but I haven't tried to install it or use it yet, from what I've read it does take quite a bit to configure it, but when it's done you should be able to chat between IRC and the server and the server with IRC, and also pass console based and in game server based commands through IRC, which is nice, I will wait for my population to die down and give it a shot.

I would say there is a way, im guessing your wanting a chatbot to run commands for you? I would issue the bot a name with power within the console like an admin, then, to test if it can kick someone, run a /msg to it or whatever your using as a bots guide says to do to issue commands, and setup the bot like you would for any normal irc, just makes sense it would work like that,
here are a few tutorials I've found for forgeIRC:

This is a youtube video of forgeIRC
http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=...=mOJY0mRrizKvyUHz3JpqYA&bvm=bv.49784469,d.aWM

The official MCForums Posting of the module, which has a wealth of setup and commands:

And lastly, I would suggest having a chatbot to control your servers chat, irc is irc after all, not the best place to run a chat unless your the server operator, the ircop, or what have you, this is a few links to irc tutorials, a highly recommended chat bot, and a tutorial for the bot itself:

and lastlly, the bot location:

I truly hope this helps everyone, I was an ircop for a couple years, these are what I used.
