Request MCPC+, Cauldron, Bukkit, Spigot?

I'm thinking of rebooting one of my servers, but it's been a while since I was running a server now.

I'm wondering what I should use to run bukkit plugins on my server now? I read about a takedown of Bukkit a while back, is this still the case?

Read now about KCauldron. Is that something that has taken over for Cauldron?
