Hey guys, Ive been running my matter fabricator with enough power to empty out a full inventory overnight, Im wondering if there is a way to automate putting scrap into it but not having it spit out due to overflow.

Help much appreciated

If you go with Applied Energistics, items won't spit out everywhere

Infitubes and the tubes from Extra Utilities can (presumably) do that easily. Too bad they aren't in FTB (dammit >.<)

AE is likely the best solution is you have it available. Import bus on your recycler to get scrap, export bus on your mass fab to dump scrap in.

If you're on one of the 1.4.7 packs, RedPower tubes do exactly what you're asking.

If you're a BC pipe user, there is an easy solution that changes depending on what minecraft version you're on:

1.5.x: Connect an insertion pipe to the matter fab then attach a void pipe to the insertion pipe.​

1.4.7: Connect a diamond pipe to the matter fab + place your amplifier item (probably scrap) in the diamond pipe's GUI in the color coded row that corresponds to the side of the pipe connected to the matter fab. Then attach a void pipe to the diamond pipe.​

Either solution will insert your amplifier into the matter fab if there's room and delete any excess. You could, of course, replace the void pipe with a chest or something for storage.

You could also use a system involving BC gates to supply scrap on-demand, but for the purposes of this thread I'm gonna say that's probably more complicated than necessary.

I suggest getting a upgraded recycler with his conveyor upgrade so you can put the recycler next to it and have it output the scrap straight into it.
...Though I though the matter fabricator pulled scrap from the recycler if it was next to it.

However, a 4th option is that you can us MFR block that outputs from an inventory, I believe this could work as long as you don't output to pipes.
