A while ago I made an automatic, repeatable Wither boss farm using MFFS touch damage and a portal to have it continuously spawn in range of the touch damage blocks before floating into the portal again. I also have a tier-5 wither skeleton farm to get wither skulls relatively fast. Right now, EU production is given by a large lava tank connected to liquid tesseracts and thermal generators. The setup is used to power my automatic rubber farm, quarry processor, and general advanced machines. However, I want to phase out of lava, and go to solar power until I can get into the biggest stuff.

I never mess with the config file, and don't ever plan to, so the recipes for advanced solar panels are stuck on hard mode. I need iridium, and don't want to get it through nerfed bees or loaded mystcraft chunks. The quarry takes about 15 hours or so to mine a 64x64 area because the processor plant makes it run at about half speed. I don't have enough power to make a frame quarry, and turtle quarries have the problem of stopping if I log off or they need rest time.

From the way it seems to far, nether star power may not be worth it, considering all the below elements:

)Wait time for wither skulls
)Wait time for nether stars (farm works at about 1 every 25 seconds when already supplied)
)Magic converters (Tested with 21 magic converters, it takes about 1 minute and 43 seconds for the matter fabricator go up to 6% using scrap boxes. I don't know if it is worth it, or if I should have less/more)
)Wait time for UU-Matter (Calculated at about 1 every 28.6 minutes)
)UU-Matter to iridium (Calculated at about 1 every 3.3 hours, if I calculated right, not taking into account time for reinstalling nether stars, and the wait time above)

TE3's reactant dynamos can create 6.5 million RF from a single nether star at 80RF/t. Not sure how much a magic energy converter does. Of course you need some sort of fluid to react with the nether star like milk or creosote or something. There are lists on the wiki. What mod pack are you using? This determines your options. Also what mod restrictions you are placing on yourself if any.

I am using the Mindcrack Pack, so I can't use any TE3 stuff. I'm rather proud of my efficient Wither Boss Farm, and want to use it for something other than just hoarding nether stars. A Magic Energy Converter supposingly outputs 24eu/t. I know it probably isn't work making a bunch of those just to use them to make solar panels... but I need the kind of power solar power produce because it is hands free and I need solar panels to replace the area I had for a 16x17 area of bluetricity solar panels for a MJ farm.

If I wanted to use magic converters to make UU-Matter, how much more would be necessary? I made calculations on the base of 21, how much faster would it be at say 42...and is that even worth all the supplies?
