Hello. I need some help with my matter fabricator. I have an array of Advanced Solars/Normal Solars/1 Hybid/2 ult hybrid solar panels that are powering an MFSU. The MFSU never looses energy, even at night.

I'm powering a matter fabricator 100% off that. Nothing else, no energy going anywhere else. I'm using scrap (I have 200 some stacks of it) to enhance the Matter Fab.

In 24 hours of play, with a chunk loader, only 12 UU matter was produced. It never ran out of scrap and in fact had even more...

P.S: There IS GREGTECH and it is a MATTER FABRICATOR

Thanks for any help!

Put the panels straight to the matter fab. With your current Setup with the 2 ult hybrid panels alone your producing 1024eu but putting it into the mfsu your only giving it 512.

Your only producing 512 eu/ tick to the matter fab . That's not very much

I added another MFSU to see if that helped. Here's the setup....

I will of course hook it up after it's fully powered.

That will work too , this will give you buffer at night too. And sorry I can't view your pic on my phone . Stupid sprint lol

Ah. Well, I hooked up the solars directly to it. It increased the rate, but I also did it so that there's a light sensor hooked up into a NOT gate which will when it's too dark turn off a redstone signal which the NOT gate makes it into an on redstone signal, into a wireless transmitter which then sends it to the mass fab. So, in essence, it turns off my matter fab at night :)

If you use 16 MFSU's it will power the Matter Fab at max input. This is what I plan on doing. I tested it and it made about 1 UU every few seconds with it full of scrap. This using scrapboxes or Uranium Dust, oh man would that be awesome!

the item you use for the amplifier doesn't change how fast the UU matter is made, that just changes how many items are used for one UU Matter, i use scrap or ender pearl dust

I power mine by feeding 4x ultimate hybrid solars into an HV transformer turned EV transformer. Then connect it with 1 HV cable into the Matter Fab. Repeat this 4x and I got the 81xx eu/tick max it accepts.

no need for transformers and hv cables. since package size doesnt matter.

I'm confused by what you're saying... Here's the FTB Wiki:

A list of materials accepted by the Matter Fabricator to create UU-Matter ordered by efficiency per item. The percentages denote the amount of progress the item gives towards generating one UU-Matter.

Efficiency, not speed. It's more efficient to use the various dusts because it takes less of them per UU. But then again, it takes more time per dust, so the time stays the same.

It depends whether it's easier for you to get that dust en mass then it is to get, say, scrap boxes. If there will come a point where you'd've had to work harder to get enough dust to produce a certain amount of UU then you would've to have an automated setup produce enough scrap to get the same amount of UU, then you should start out using scrap and stick with it the whole way.

Don't think of the matter fabricator as using "amplifiers". The items you feed it don't get you any more UU for your energy. They're "requirements", so you should simply go with whatever's most cheaply available in bulk.
