So i was playing in my FTB : DireWolf20 mod pack world and i decided to place down my smeltery just the first level. i only had two blocks left to place. These are the controller and the tank. So i placed down the smeltery controller then though ok now all i need to do is place down the tank. I place down the tank and it dissapears. First i wonder "uhh what?" Then i look at the controller and its flames are going. once i look inside a copy of some of my items in my invintory are inside the smeltery contoller. When i try to take them out i pull about three of them befor it crashes the game and closses the client. When i load up the client again.... My world is no longer in the list for some reason. I bieleve that this bug is a world destroying bug. The only problem i have now is that this is a worldi use for my youtube sieries....

One more thing to node is that when i pulled things from the controller 2 slots were taken up by redstone energy conduits only showing that one was inside and no counter saying any more but when i take them out i get a while stack instead of the one. Lastly the other items that got tossed in to it were 4 fausets(with no counter saying that there were four) and clear glass panes which i think there were about 6 of them in the slot.

This is apparently a known issue with the DW20 pack. It's not Tinker's, per se, but your issue is happening sporadically interacting with a variety of mod blocks. The good news is your world is not corrupted, only your player.dat file. Instructions to restore can be found here (2nd post) http://forum.feed-the-beast.com/threads/world-crashes-then-deletes.41022/

The take away: Make regular backups anytime you're playing modded minecraft.

its not hard to fix it you just need to take some files from another save and replace them then you get your world back
